I love the art-form of professional wrestling and I want to preserve what makes professional wrestling a unique art-form

What I want to make clear the main reason I am so passionate about preserving the elements of professional wrestling because watching and being a fan of this genre have been the best times of my life and I do not want those elements to be pasteurized by people and fans who do not know any better.   But the veterans who still work in the business who go along with this that bothers me.   I am not against those veterans’ making money and I know things change but in my opinion even if fans think they are in the know those elements that make professional wrestling such a magical and unique entertainment should never go away otherwise there is no reason for this genre to exist except the WWE because they have stated that their form of entertainment is no different than any other type of entertainment that it is no different than an actor playing a part in a movie or a person playing in a play.   Which is fine I can say even though I disagree with the WWE’s philosophy and perspective I have to admit that it works.   The WWE has reeducated both the media and the fans of what I think this art-form was indented to be.   I hear the Impact  Executive Vice President of talent relations Scott D’amore use the term “character” which I hate but I have the up most respect for Scott D’amore for turning and reinvigorating the company and the Impact brand I can not speak for him but I am going to say by listening to his prospective on the genre is different than the WWE.   I can also inference by how the talent in both AEW and Impact are given more freedom and believability to not their characters but their personas gimmicks or with their personalities and volume turned all the way up when that light goes on and then when the light goes off so does that persona.   Which is why it is believable and fans were able to suspend their belief and enjoy it.   I read and heard the WWE’s and Vince K McMahon ‘s philosophy on what the business is supposed to be and then I discovered Jim Cornete’s column: Character Actors which was available on Jim Cornete.com I wish it was still available just for a  different prospective.   Reading that column gave me a competly different prospective on what this art-form was intended to be it gave me much of my opinions and prospectives on the business that people built and protected.   I read that column and that gave me a whole new prospective on what this art-form truly has always been intended to be.   I always had a hunch that there were different prospectives and this column proved it.   I compared both prospectives and I made my decision which one I agreed.   I am going to do everything I can to not let this forum of entertainment be bastardize by people in the business who know better and   by  those who do not know any better I will work with them.   But this unique art-form deservers to be preserved.   Because unfortunaly there are more fans and people in the business who view this art-form no differently than any other form of entertainment or they think they are chracters in a video game.       The main reason Jim Cornete does not like Kenny Omega he has admitted he has admitted that wrestling is supposed to be fun and should be laugh at and be silly.   Kenny Omega has been called the best wrestler in professional wrestling and I have admitted I do not get it and I have wondered watching both Kenny Omega’s promos and in ring work and wondered what am I missing?   When Jim Cornete was brought into the business he was taught to protect it because he was allowed into something that a lot of people spent a long time building and if not he needed to get out of it.   The credibility of this unique form of entertainment should be protected.   If someone is allowed into the business and does not do that it shows disrespect.   Here is an example: Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite on TNT said to Eddie Kingston during a promo where Eddie was trying to do some business “he does not break character look at him".   Also with Omega he always plays the victim he and the Young Bucks always play the victim every time someone has an opinion that they do not like Dave Meltzer does the exact same thing it  is almost as if he wants to run fans away.   Every time Kenny Omega or the talent in AEW are offened by fans who do not see the brilliance in what they are doing they claim that person is just playing a “character" and are dangerous  that they do not really believe “this stuff they are just trying to get attention”.   Maybe they think because they are artists in a play movie or television show and winking at the camera everyone else is doing the exact same thing.    What business would any fan rather pay to see and watch talent who took their business seriously or people who act like they are cosplay artists who are basically admitting that they are putting them on and telling them going into it to laugh and make fun of this pastime that so many fans found as an escape?   The main reason I do not like Joey Ryan is the “dick flip spot making fun of a business that again took a lot of time to build I do not respect anyone who is allowed into  something and deliberately disrespects it I hate that person.   For the people in the business who do not know any better I will work  with them and they have to do what the person who writes the checks tells them to do.   I love this art-form and I want to preserve the magic of this unique and crazy business and  art-form.

botch

Chris Jericho said something recently that in professional wrestling there are no such thing as botches there are mistakes but there is no such thing as botch.   Filming a movie a for instance actors get more then one take but in professional wrestling it is a live performance so if there are mistakes or accidents that take place there is nothing that can be done.   A huge issue and I have never liked it but fans use words and phrases that they have no idea what they  mean.   They do it because they feel as if they are in on what the product is in a business that they are not a part not to discount fans because without the fans there is no business but I really wish instead of trying to be "smart" or in on what the genre is enjoy it.     I disagree with Dave Meltzer I do not believe that promoters of the past belived that the fans were suckers and that they just took their money and ran along.   Hence:  what has become a derogatory term "mark"   which it used to not be.   I am not asking fans to think of it has being "real" but I really wish fans could just enjoy it instead of trying to figure out and second guess everything that is being done.    I just wish that philosophy would go away.   I know Dave Melzter has said he always looked at it as a business and that those  who never saw his newsletter has beneficial  to the business were the easiestly mislead.   Now I competly disagree with that those who  did not see his newsletter has beneficial to the business were the easiestly mislead he has a right to his prospective and I have a right to my own opinion.  As I have said many times during this project watching and being a fan of professional wrestling have been the best times of my life.   I love it not just how good the matches  were but those larger than life chracters which I prefer those personalities turned up  to a thousand so that way they are not acting.   Those personalities turned up to a thousand is what captured both my imagination caught my attention and made me a fan.   But again fans can do what they wish this is not that important to me but I do love it and I want to preserve those aspects that made professional wrestling such a unique and different form of entertainment.   I want to send my best to former TNA/Impact Wrestling announcer: Don West I love your authentic passion for both professional wrestling selling baseball cards and everything you do I love you and I am praying for a full recovery for you.    Also The Professor Mike Tenay I always enjoyed when he would answer fan questions your knowledge of the industry and your commentary with Don West.   Mike Tenay is one of my favorite announcers in professional wrestling I hope he is not disenchanted with the business.   Both TNA/Impact Wrestling founder:  and current WWE talent Jeff Jarrett and the current: Impact Wrestling Vice President of talent relations Scott D'amore I love both of you and I wish the absolute best for all of you and Impact Wrestling because fans need it.   Because much like AEW they have a niche fan base which is different from the WWE because the WWE is a world wide brand but that does not mean that there is not room for different companies and also different prospectives.   There  is not just one set system because what works for one promotion and group of fans will not work for a another group of fans.   There were fans who thought Don West as an announcer was to  over the top but to me it was his genuine reaction to what he was seeing.   Jim Ross is another example: where he was genuinely reacting to what he was seeing as an announcer as: JR put "it he becomes a fan when asked why he gets excited?    I get caught up in his emotion.    But again there are a group of fans who believe they are to smart to buy into  this so they are going to just focus on the in ring performances which is fine I don't care.   But in my opinion in the past promoters never believed that the fans were stupid the reason the promoters were so secretive if you will they knew that if fans caught just a slight of information they would not enjoy it or perceive it differently and think  of this form of entertainment as acting and playing a part which unfortunaly has happened instead of what it was intended to be  which in my opinion which were not "chracters" they  were themselves their personalities were just exaggerated or magnified to the absolute maximum.   On the other hand Dave Meltzer and his fans will say fans of the past who brought into what they were seeing were being coned and fooled but that was never the case if someone gets lost or buys into a play no one bats an eye but if fans buy into any aspect of professional wrestling expect how good the in ring performances were not to  discount that because I love that aspect of the genre and that is definitely  a part of  it but there are other elements such as: promos and personalities that connect with the fans.   I have never heard any other form of entertainment dissected and over thought than professional wrestling I think it has ruined the illusion.   I think I know what it is because unlike a play or a movie viewers accept that the actors are playing a part but in professional wrestling there still are fans who are not sure what is real and what is not but my thought is who cares?   I am thrilled that AEW has allowed Christan Cage to be himself he is finally cutting promos and getting genuine reactions from the audience.   Well I should not have said that Christan Cage is being allowed to be himself what I meant was there is something inside of Jay Reso magnified or with his volume turned up.   Christan Cage in AEW is getting genuine reactions from the audience  after betraying  Jungle Boy  whom he saw as a mentor.     Now that to me is more important than how good the matches are  the personalities who are able to connect with an audience is what this forum of entertainment is premised.   Examples: Handsome Jimmy Valiant and The American Dream Dusty Rhodes. It is a morality play in a sense.   There will be fans on social media who will say that I am suggesting that they can not have an opinion I am not suggesting that but what I am suggesting for fans to reel in a little bit and please do not make the assumption that all of you know as much or more then the people who work in the offices and talent who perform it because of something that they read.     Here is an example: I read recently a  comment by a fan  who said that Eddie Kingston of AEW needs to work on his in ring work because he misses and botches  moves and my question is how does that fan know that?   But that fan has a right to their  opinion.

When I have written "Stay Hard Stay Heavy

When I have written “Stay Hard Stay Heavy I truly mean it because it one of those aspects that keep me alive in this regard I am referring to music hard rock or heavy metal.   Even though in doing this project I have discovered what I like is harder rock and not metal it is that frequency that ignites you and will never leave once it is there as Kip Winger stated.   So when I say “Stay Hard Stay Heavy because I have no choice I mean it maybe that is good maybe that is bad but I have tried to keep it postive.   There are a lot of dangers associated with internet but one that really bothers me is the notion of wanting someone to fail because for me if I do not like something I move on I do not focus on it.   But there are so many people who come out of the woodwork to gloat about how happy they are if someone they do not even know most of the time fails.   If people are not well adjusted that will continue to affect them in a negative way I know many will say what is the big deal about what strangers say?   I understand that but if those people are fragile and their psyche is affected that is why it matters when people take everything they read to heart.   It is easy to do so anyone who says it is not a big issue they have never been in that situation because people are basically assholes anyone who thinks human nature is basically good have never thought though the issue because if they do only for a moment will realize that is not the case or they are just naïve.   I am not sure how to cover  professional wrestling just as a fan any other way then a “shoot" I have never considered myself to be an expert I am just a fan not to discount myself but I think a lot of those who clam to be experts they lose a lot of the fun and excitement.   But again all of this is subjective so fans or experts can do what they wish this should be an escape.   I do not care much like hard rock  it should be authentic to the way you feel.   A shoot in this case is treating the genre as an athletic contest or a simulated conflict not a sport.   But that everything that happens is not planned but authentic.   In other words no one turns or becomes something it just happens organically.   What is wrong with that?   If someone buys into a movie or a play no one bats an eye but if a fan buys into a story there is something wrong with that!   Well it is like this I buy into  while I am watching and engaged into it and then I move on with my life.   These have been  the times of my life and I would like to preserve what I love for others.   But again there is no wrong way to enjoy this.   I do not understand this mentality of this group of  fans are out of touch or these fans are not welcomed because they like this style or prefer this way to view the product that really turns fans away from a product.   Any kind of entertainment fans are going to prefer other things over other asspects that does not make them wrong that is just a different preference.   But because we have so called "experts" of the business who say well Dave Meltzer reported that this was a 5 star match so it must be the absolute truth and if you disagree those fans are not welcomed and are out of touch is a huge problem.   If fans of Dave Melzter want the product to only be a niche product they are doing a great job.   I have no problem with Dave Melzter giving his opinion my issue is the notion that his opinion is the only one that matters.   I do not think professional wrestling is a sport but I do look at it as a simulated conflict and I do not belive that these participants are just playing "chracters" I wish the term character could be expunged from the business.   What would my character do in this situation? is wrong!  If you want to refer to professional wrestling as a show or even something like theater I have no issue with that but viewing pro wrestling as acting or playing a part needs to stop unless the promoters want the business to go extinct.
