just focus

I love that Mark Henry made clear on Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling podcast that there is no war against the WWE and AEW.   I am glad that Mark cleared that up because I am sick and tired of hearing about a war between AEW and WWE.   AEW will never beat the WWE it is not that AEW is not a good product AEW could have the best product and they would never beat them it is just name recognition.   I could talk to anyone who is not a fan of professional wrestling/sports entertainment and they would know WWE “wrestling”.   So in my opinion I wish the owner/CEO of AEW Tony Khan would stop focusing on what fans say on social media because those WWE fans are looking for that reaction.   So they will never check out AEW and the good thing for Tony those AEW fans are never going anywhere they will never abandon AEW.   Just like the WWE “die hards” they will never go anywhere.   I would think just from hearing about the wrestling journalist community that they watch both products I could be wrong.   I hate to agree with Eric Bischoff but I do agree that Dave Meltzer and the like have done damage to the professional wrestling industry because they changed the concept of what fans think professional wrestling is and what they are supposed to like.      For example: how many fans just focus on how good the matches are and are just looking for Dave Meltzer to give them a five-star match?    Instead of focusing on the story and their promos it is only about the match and as long as they get that five-star match review that is all that matters.   As a fan I was captivated by the stories and emotion.   I do not think the causal wrestling fan cares about the matches so much.   I am not sure what attracts the casual fan because I am a hardcore fan or what has become known as a “mark” I will take that.   But I want to escape and enjoy it.   I love what Christan Cage did to Bryan Alvarez during the AEW media scrum.   I think Christan Cage is doing his best work in AEW because he is doing the cult deal with Nick Wayne his promos are excellent.   So I wish Tony Khan would focus on his fan base and also try to appeal to the causal wrestling fan.   A casual wrestling fan to me is someone who likes wrestling but they do not go on the internet and go on wrestling sites they just flip though the channels and find something they want to watch.   I wish he could focus on getting those casual fans which the WWE has mastered.   TNA Wrestling was able to do that with the women’s division the knockouts but that was only for a short time.   So I wish Tony Khan would not focus on the WWE and their fans but focus on the AEW product when Tony goes on social media and criticizes the WWE the WWE “die hards” are looking to give those responds.   I think both AEW fans and Tony Khan need to and must focus on AEW and what they like instead of thinking that AEW and WWE are in a war.   I think because the wrestling insider newsletters are stringing up this mythical war because I guarantee the WWE and Triple H are not thinking about AEW the WWE will do everything they can to counter program AEW I think Tony Khan made a mistake when he thought Triple H and the WWE were nice to him.   Every time AEW has a big show the WWE will stack their shows Tony and AEW fans need to accept that.   I hate tribalism especially among wrestling fans it does not do anyone any good all it does is take the fun out of this.   I really wish fans would remember: that this is supposed to be fun and do not over think it.    This is only entertainment and should be fun and enjoyable.   Tribalism is bad "this us versus them is stupid.   For example: if fans want to just watch and support the WWE I am fine with that.   If fans want to just support AEW I am fine with that.   If they want to support and watch both companies cool.   The winners are the fans because they have a choice.   The WWE will always have the advantage because when casual fans think of wrestling they think WWE just accept that. but that does not mean AEW can not be successful but there will always be WWE fans who will not give AEW a chance so Tony Khan needs to accept that and keep his hardcore AEW fan base which again are not going anywhere.    But also try and grow their fan base which means to not just cater to the fans they already have but focus on growing their fan base and do not worry about the WWE "die hards" they will never give AEW a chance.   I think AEW can grow their fan base but the company will never be has big as the WWE.   All I can say is take your shot and stop taking everything personally stop trying to be an expert and overthinking and taking the fun out of everything I really just think taking everything so personally is a huge problem with in professional wrestling as fans but that maybe just the wrestling newsletters I think?   I do not think the avenge wrestling fan  cares and they should not care.   For example: when Edge leaves the WWE and becomes Adam Copeland in AEW he is seen as  a traitor by the WWE faithful and I have to admit I do not understand that.   All he wanted to do is end his career with Christan Cage who again  I think is doing his best work in AEW.   For example: Tonight Saturday October 21st Bound For Glory LIVE: from Chicago Mike Tenay and Don West and Traci Brooks will be inducted: into the Impact Hall of Fame.   I have always thought of both Mike Tenay and Don West as friends.   So it is going to be cool.   But also I want to watch AEW Collision LIVE from Memphis Tennessee from the Fed Ex Forum with Dave Brown as a guest announcer.   Now does that make me a traitor to Impact Wrestling?   I would say no but the wrestling news letter community would probably say yes.   But just writing that makes me realize how ridiculous that is.   I am still looking forward to seeing who wins in the main event at Bound for Glory Alex Shelly as: the Impact World Champion challenging the Walking Weapon Josh Alexander the challenger who never lost the Impact World Championship.   I hope Josh wins but I like both guys.   So tribalism as fans in professional wrestling has really ruin this and needs to stop.   But that does not mean that fans can not have an opinion but please do not take this so seriously and personally.   I think many wrestling newsletter writers have lost prospective.   I love Don West I am so proud that he and Mike Tenay are being inducted into the Impact Hall of Fame because I consider both of them as friends that is truly special especially when I do not know them but I feel as though I do.   That is something I can not plan it is a special bond.   I hope to see it on the Preshow before Bound for Glory.   I am glad I got a "Lounder with Crowder" mug it is an easier way for me to drink coffee.   Tribalism needs to go.   I find it to be both a waste of time and energy.   Here is how I look at this this form of entertainment is supposed to be fun and enjoyable when tribalism kicks in that is when it's not so much.   Mike Tenay mentioned in his Impact Hall of Fame speech "that wrestling purist and yes there is such a thing believed that Don West was to over the top for professional wrestling but Don won them over".   The point is I do not understand the whole wrestling purists thing and unfortunately I think that is where we are among certain internet wrestling fans.   I think it was fitting that last night's Impact Hall of Fame ceremony took place in Chicago which happened to be Don West's hometown.   Which I did not know.   Also Chicago was the hometown of WWE Hall of Famer Bobby The Brain Hennan which I learned in Mike's speech last night.   I just think tribalism in professional wrestling has definitely gone to far.   I think we are all fans and we want to be a part of it in some way but I think for most of us it should only be a hobby and an escape.   I also try to remember being a professional wrestler is a dream for a lot of people and it reinvigorates their imaginations which this business is supposed to do.   The main thing I wish fans and wrestling newsletter writers would stop making assumptions that they and they alone know the motives of why they know certain professional wrestlers do something to me it makes them look foolish.   But at the same they are entitled to express their opinions.   I am enjoying: Christan Cage as: TNT Champion in AEW I think this has been his best work I am not referring just to his in ring work I mean his promos he is doing the cult deal with Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus and what will be next in his program with The Rated - R Superstar Adam Copeland?   Anyway it is a great time to be a fan if only some fans would allow themselves to have an enjoyable  time and I hope they do because that is what I plan to do.
