My Goals: entertainer or peformer

My goal with this blog is not to save the world or to infulence people to my side I want to bring good times and laughs to people. I marveled at how listening to Rush Limbaugh how he could get me to think criticaly and also laugh at the exact same time. I have a lot of notes on guns and the 2nd admendment but I am not going to change anyone's mind on it. I want this to be fun I have always wanted to be an entertainer or performer. When I was really young I wanted to be a director because I watched Termintor 2 which got my imagination working. I started watching MTV VH1 and BET and I wanted to be a VJ. Two of my idols growing up were: Bill Bellamy and Matt Pinfield. I just thought Bill Bellmay was the coolest guy ever growing up because that was the job I wanted to do. I wanted to bring those good times and joy to people. I started listening to Chris Jarman and Danni Bruns on 981 The Max I wanted to bring those good times and joy to people that listenting to the radio gave me. Listenting to Drake @ Zeke on both Rock 103 and 981 the Max was also a huge infulence on me. I love introducing people to music that they have never heard and they end up liking. I have never cared about wheather music is popular I just care wheather I like it or not. I got make fun of growing up for liking the music I like but I did not care. I might get more views if I just wrote about music that was more well known but it would not be authentic. I have never cared about being popular even when I was growing up. I do not want to be disliked please don't miss understand but that was what the punk rock movement in the late 1960s was about. It had to do with a group of indivuals who felt they had to claw through walls to have their voices heard it had to do with the feeling of allienation. Which gave rise to both: grunge and alternative rock. I do not like the term shock jock I am who I am I want people to enjoy what I do. I am not trying to offend anyone with this blog but I try not to worry about it. My main goal is to entertain I wrote in my notes I hate the term shock jock but I do not think you can change preception. Do I want everyone to like what I do? Absoulutely but that is not possible so I will not even try I will just contiue hopefully to write about topics that interested me. I think my writing about wanting to be an entertainer growing up gives more prospective on why I am doing this blog. I am greatful to everyone for there support I try not to take it for granted but I hope this blog continues has long as I am interested. But I think my writing about what infulenced me growing up gives a clearer picture of what I want this blog to be. There are people who believe they do not deserve their success so they will intentional sabotage their sucesss because they do not think they deserve it. But I believe like Chris Hardwick wrote in his book The Nerdist Way that you deservre every wonderful thing you want in this life. I think has long as you do not develop an ego and it goes to your head I see nothing wrong with going after and gaining sucess. In doing this blog I have discovered that there are different senseablities that I was unaware in doing satire and parodies but the thing about parodies and satire it has to have a level of truth to it otherwise it would not be funny. The bad thing about humor no one knows what people will find funny until they try it. I think the worst thing any one can do is try to sabotage your sucess because you think you do not deservres it think about it this way how narcisstic because you are thinking because it is only you that you do not deservre it. I do not understand the purusit of fame but that seems like a popular purusit now a days. It is why I am against the media reporting everytime a tragedy happends because that is what they are seeking fame and recognition. But I think it is important to know that success is probaly not what most people think it is because it does not give them the fullfillment that they thought it would. In Dennis Prager's book Happiness is a serious problem he states that in order to be happy a person needs to have a tragic view of life which makes sense because there are many more tragedies in life then joys. The main thing I want to pursue is happiness I think that is a noble pursit. People pursue everything else in life unfortunaly happiness is no different. People think happiness just happends to them it does not. I can understand why Dennis Prager said on his Fireside chat on what conservatives wish to conserve that he is not pro old or pro new he is pro great and that no one is against change providing that the change is for the better. The reason I bring this up I agree I want the best art and the best music. There are so many people who do not want to listen to new music because it is new and there are people who will not listen to old music because it is old. That does not make any sense to me I want what is best and if there is something that I like that is uplefting and inspirating I want people to know about it I am pro great and also MR. Prager is correct that why should we be infatuated with the new if the new is not any better? There is no test like time and that if something survives time it must be pretty great. People will ask how do you know what is great if you do not experiment with it? Okay experiment with it but do not get rid of the old just because it is old.
