Late night opinion

 

I do not understand the backlash and hatred that Jay Leno received during the NBC sort of late-night feud.   I can understand preferring Conan O’Brien over Jay but hating Jay because Conan did not get the Tonight Show makes absolutely no sense to me.   Howard Stern constantly calls Jay a crook.   I used to be a fan of Stern and the reason he was anti-establishment but now he embraces the establishment and criticizes and belittles those who do not.   I used to also like Jimmy Kimmel when he was the CO host of Win Ben Stein’s Money and later the host of the Man Show with Adam Carolla Jimmy does not even seem like the same person.   When Conan hosted: the Tonight Show NBC started losing money for the first time so I think they panicked so why is that Jay Leno’s fault?   Another factor when Craig Ferguson came alone he started beating Conan’s Late-Night show and NBC thought “oh did we make a mistake?   Again I do not understand the hatred for Jay because if NBC was losing money and advertisers and they asked Jay Leno do you want to come back?   What is Jay supposed to do say no?      I can understand Conan being disappointed that makes sense but I did not understand and still do not understand the backlash against Jay I think it was just a business situation and this happens in every walk of life someone wants a job another person gets it.   I do not see why that is Jay’s fault?   The episodes of The Simpsons that are my favorites were written by Conan O’Brien so I do not hate him I like a lot of what he does but at least Conan got a chance to host: the Tonight Show because very few comedians have had that opportunity.   Conan may feel as if he was not given enough time to establish an audience but I still can not interpret Jay Leno of doing anything wrong.
