In this next section I discuss politics and the media’s connection to it. I also discuss what is happening to comedy and the downright stupide of political correctness. There is some music talk as well. I really do not feel comfortable discussing politics it is not my thing. Music is my hobby and passion. I also do not mind giving my opinions on the other hobby of mine professional wrestling. Which I feel strongly and passionately.
College students are being taught that
because they are white they can not determine what is offensive to other races
because they have been the oppressor not the oppressed this is extremely scary
to me and It should be to every America E Pluribus Unium in God We Trust Liberty E
Pluribus Unium is Latin for from many one.
Which means people who come to United States Of America that no one
cares which contury they came it does matter the differences. They have assimilated they are Americans
which is the exact opposite of multiculturalism which focuses on everything
that divides and turns people against each other. Adding on to my playlist never million years
by: Laura Branigan what a powerful ballad this is just full of emotion with
Laura’s signature powerful voice that almost makes me want to cry It is just so
beatuful! I love the violin in this
song. Never in a million years is a
favorite of mine. Part of what made
Laura speical was her infectious smile.
Her smile really added to the enjoyment for me of her music. Mama also by Laura Branigan this song like many
of Laura’s early work has a disco type feel to it. Dennis Miller did a rant on a sense of humor
which is a sense. This was on Dennis
Miller Live on HBO. Unfortunaly there
is a majority of people who do not understand that humor is a sense. There is nothing worse than politically
correct comedy that is the antithesis of what comedy should be. I am talking about language I am talking
about ideas that is why HBO was so revolutionary. There are comedians who just want to play it
safe which is fine. That is why
comdians there are different types of comedians in my opinion Comedy clubs
should be non-politically correct zones.
There was a boom in comedy clubs in the 1980s because they were
non-politically correct zone. There is
an old saying all great humor has some truth to it I think that is true because
that is why the best comedy gets a reaction.

This is really suburb very energetic Fiona is still awesome! James Christan from House Of Lords produced
Unbroken. I am going to try to explain
something that commentators and many politicians miss I am not trying to make
anyone mad well that is not true maybe Karl Rove. They miss that this is a culture war all of
what is happening all has to do with culture that is why the left is so smart
because they went after the culture and the only way people who want smaller
government have to go after the culture.
When I try to explain this people that believe in smaller government
they usually get frusturated with me. I
am not a conservative I just want smaller government. Even with marriage I want the government out
of marriage it should be a religious decision.
Let’s stop taking all the races of indviuals and sending the message
that these indivuals are victims and saying everything thing in life is about
luck not everyone is going to be somebody.
Giving away money to people who do not feel like working I am not
talking about those who are incapable of working I am talking about those who
do not feel like working. Giving away
hard earned money to people who do not feel like working is going to keep
lowering the bar and will not satisfy them it will just keep them in a state of
depression. College students are being
taught that conservatives want to preserve the status quo. I have a different perspective I see conservatives
and libertarians going against the grain.
I am against this idea of collectivism I believe in the power of the
indviual this contury was built on induvial initiative that is why some people
do better than others. That is what
Elizabeth Warren and President Obama do not want to acknowledge that most
people who are successful are not smart they worked hard and something called
grit. If you are smart and talented it
helps but most people who are successful just kept working hard and had
perseverance being smart and lucky often times have nothing to do with
success. This everyone is going to be
somebody is a horrible message to send.
Many on the left are guided by feelings how they feel about something is
more important than if it is true. When
people make decisions only based on emotions they do not think logically that
is true for me and for everyone.
Basically I would like the government to do stuff I can not do. The government’s job is to clear the playing
field not level the playing field get rid of all the red tape that prevents
people from taking risks. I am not
against government but the government can not live your life for you. I want lower taxes and less regulations. People need invectives to improve their
lives the higher taxes are the less invective and motivation people have to
innovate. The constiution does not
guarantee happiness it says we may pursue happiness. The pursuit of happiness means to me that I
get to be who I want to be and life may not go the exactly the way I want it to go but at least people get to chart their own course.
There are no guarantees in life none!
Everyone is born equal but ending up equal is not an American vaule that
is a European vaule. There are
indviuals who are my age and older who think they are entitled to everything. It is not their fault they have not been taught
any different. The United States Of America is just an
experiment the greastest experiment in world history but unfortunaly it is
being tampered with all in the name of fairness. If I wanted fairness to be enforced I would
move to Europe. There is a reason
Immigrants flock to The United States.
I can not imagine how different the United States would be if the Berlin
Wall was not removed and the Soviet Union was not deafened children may all be speaking
Russian. I do not believe in putting
indviuals in boxes. I do not believe
going all in with a group that I half agree.
There are people that think if you vote republican you have to be all in
with the republicans and if you vote for democrats you have to be all in with
the democrats I think it is kind of
like when the Super Bowl rolls around every year where you just have to pick a
team. I do not like when people assume. I can pretty libertrain in some ways. I think I confuses my family I do not mean
to do so. There is a limit for me but I
have a libertrain soft spot. Everyone
has that line and no one knows where that line ends but for me there is a limit. I just want to be open about it and take it
from there just get the government out of the way! I am not trying to be a hypocrite but
everyone is entitled to their own opinions so I am just trying to be more open
about my libertrain leanings. My
favorite Lita Ford album is Dangerous Curves which was released in 1991. During this time this type of hard rock was
waning in popularity this maybe to mainstream for the hard rock fans but it is
still one of my favorite Lita Ford albums.
A shot of poison is really great song.
Playing with fire has an edge.
This may sound too poppy for hard rock purest but I enjoy it for what it
is. I think if the climate of the music
industry was not changing during this time Dangerous Curves could have been
more successful. Living
like a runaway which was an album and song by: Lita. This is more of a return to Lita’s early
sound from the 1980s. It just has the
edge that her album Lita had that was released in 1988. What I admire most about Lita she is helping
the younger generation that is coming up such as: Lizzy Hale and Dorothy. Which I am not really familiar but what I
have heard is pretty good. I have
complained that there is not enough rock out there that is successful there is
some good new rock musicans out there.
The Pretty Reckless front woman Taylor Momsen is excellent. Rival Sons reminds me of a 1970s band such
as: Montrose. An example: Rock Candy by
Montrose with Sammy Hagar on vocals that was released in 1973. It does not get better then rock candy. That song is the essences of a harder rock
song that Kashmir by Led Zeppelin and highway star by Deep Purple is the
essences of a harder sound. The drum in
rock candy is what does it for me. It
just takes me places. Rival Sons is
kind of a throwback to that Montrose sound. Be open about your secrets that is
exactly what I am trying to do with this project. The media loves to use this word: hypocrisy
it like the word racist it is thrown around so much it is does not mean a damn
thing anymore. There are racists and
hypocrites out there but because the media focusses on dumb trivial crap that
is why as a contury people can not fix real actual problems because we have too
many stupid people who only have emotional arguments Many cable news shows
focus on just the most trivial issues
it is always this person said this about you and it is the constant we
need to look at ourselves that is why when someone attempts to bring up a problem they can not attempt to solve the
problem because someone will call them a hypocrite or a racist. Which only perpetuates the problem! I would put any website on the right up
against a website on the left any day in terms of policy but in terms of the
left effect examples: Bush Hitler commander in theft this is probably laughed
about by conservatives and libertarians but they do not realize that the
younger generations have not been exposed to conservative and libertarians principles
because if they were they may realize just like me that they hold conservative
or libertrain principles. They just
have to be explained to younger generations.
As I mentioned earlier there are people who are liberals only by default
not because of any conviction because that is what children get in their
eduction kindergarten through college.
Tonight Sunday June 12th 2016 TNA Impact Wrestling’s 14 year anniversary
celebration! People who only have an
emotional arugment are the ones who are only talking about saving
everything. Saving the planet, saving
the polar bears. That is why people drive
a Prius it all has to do with acting like they are doing something. Human beings are just not that powerful stop
littering and take care of one another.
Stop trying to put out every fire I mean that metaphorically but that is
not identifying any problems but they feel good about themselves. The people who always are frantic about
saving everything it is kind of a superior complex. The point is it all has to do with feelings
which makes people dumb. That is why
the younger generations who are attending colleges have to be protected from
their feelings being hurt. Because
they have been taught their whole lives that how they feel is the most
important! It is the same people who have CO exist bumper stickers they feel good about
having that sticker but they are not doing
anything it just makes them feel good.
Can we go back to common sense or is this contury just too far
gone? I would like to go back to common sense and
please do not tell me that my common sense is different than others. I hate that lazy arugment! That is why when people try to debate ideas
nothing ever is accomplished because someone will make the arugment about how
bad for example: Christianity is. This
contury is constanly beaten up and told how bad this contury is. I do not know when this started happening I
would guess after the Vietnam War this contury and people started turning on
themselves. I think that is where this
contury went wrong. I hope things can
be turned around! Laura Brangian
released Over My Heart in 1993. Also is
the name of a song on the album called over my heart. I really enjoy this entire album. It is different but that is one of the main
reasons why Laura Branigan is one of my favorite musicans. Laura was willing to change her style the
one thing about Laura’s music she was never too commercial for my taste. To me when
it comes to Laura Brangian it was all about her talent and that she was always
willing to change her style. Wheather
it was accessible to the masses I do not care and is a different arugment. Critics have said music styles changed but
Laura did not. That is part of what I
loved about Laura’s music she just did what she did. Black Sabbath did the same thing they just
did what they did for themselves and it so happened it connected with
fans. Styles change trends change but
what makes art stand the test of time it is authentic. Black Sabbath and Laura Branigan were
authentic. There is a huge difference
between Black Sabbath and Laura Branigan but I am trying to make a point. Laura Branigan’s early style is more of
dance and disco style. All night with
me from her debut album Brangian is a romantic dance song with a disco vibe
this was released in 1982. As I
mentioned earlier I love Laura’s later work my favorite Laura Brangian song is
moonlight on water from her self-titled
album Laura Branigan. Which was
released in 1990. Laura was sexy
without even trying what a voice! Then
her next album was over my heart which was released 1993 which was more of just
a pop album. But Over My Heart is her
most diverse album in terms of content.
The point is it was good! I admire indviuals who do not follow trends
they are called trends for a reason they do not last. I am sick of hearing you have to do things
for the masses. What I am supposed to
do just embrace everything that becomes popular because it popular? That does not make any sense. It is like when I hear people say everyone
else is doing it. I am not saying
everything that is popular is bad because I like a lot of mainstream stuff but just
because it is popular that does not make it good. Here is an example: Christy Canyon does not
make movies for the mainstream she just makes adult movies. That could be another bad example but for
people who have talent there will always be a group of people who will
gravitate toward whatever it is. This
instant gratification world that we now live does not do anyone any
favors. My hope is if something is good
it will keep getting better in other words delayed gratification is truly a
valuable leason that is lost. Be open
about your secrets because they will eventually come out. My favorite Donna Summer song is dim all the
lights. This is truly a disco dance
classic. A very good song from The
Queen Of Disco Donna Summer! Dim all
the lights was released in 1979. It could
be released now this is a great time for dance music. Glenn Hughes is an excellent musican he is
an original member of Deep Purple the original Deep Purple broke up in
1976. Glenn just has a crisp voice with
great keyboards. Glenn Hughes also was
a member of Black Sabbath in their later years. During this time Glenn did some excellent
work with Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi.
In England Glenn Hughes is referred to as: The Voice Of Rock. Soul Mover is Glenn Hughes comeback album
and he has been in many prominent bands such as: Deep Purple in their early
years. My favorite Black Sabbath song
with Glenn Hughes on vocals is a blues rock ballad called no stranger to
love. The title on the album reads:
Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi. Which is on The Seventh Star released in
1986. Glenn also had some excellent solo
albums. My favorite Ted Nugent song is
Little MS. Dangerous. I really do not
need to go into why I love this song sometimes it is just self-explanatory this
is one of those occasions. I know one
of my goals is to explain why this music is inspirational to me but I am going to
just lay out. I like this song for the
same reason I love squeeze by: Fiona Flanagan which I believe is the best hard
rock ever written. I am someone who
grew up listening to alternative rock it did not really go much futher than
four years the point is it was good but it did not appeal to the masses that is
why it was called alternative rock.
Veruca Salt was an alternative rock band and were poppy but they had an
edge. They never lost their edge. Nina Gordon and Louise Post with Jim Shapiro
on drums and bassist Steve Lack. Vercua
Salt formed in 1993 and had their first number #1 hit sether on MTV. Getting a music video played on MTV was more
important during certain periods then radio play. Nina Gordon and Louise Post both were
extremely hot but also had talent and were certainly a product of the 1990s
alternative rock era but everything is a product of it’s time. Nina and Louise played guitar with Jim
Shapiro whose style was just to lay the drum out there but he played with
intensity. But then after Vercua Salt
became successful critics accused the band of being to formulaic manufactured
and poppy. Vercua Salt were an
alternative rock band but they had a pop
sensibility that is what gave them sort of a crossover appeal without losing what
their hardcore fans enjoyed about their music.
Vercua Salt broke up in 1997 and Nina Gordon released a solo album and a
song called tonight and the rest of my life in 2000. During this time tonight and the rest of my
life was all over radio. It is really a
beatuful song that sounds nothing like Vercua Salt. Nina Gordon and Louis Post got back together
and reformed Vercua Sault in 2013 and released a new album Ghost Stories. Vercua Salt has been performing ever
since. They truly are one of my
favorite bands from the 1990s alternative rock era. That was just a great era for any kind of
alternative music I look back on this time fondly and think how blessed I was
to be a small part of this era and also I get to rediscover great bands such
as: Veruca Salt. There were a lot of alternative rock
musicans and bands who wore flannel T-shrits and wore black some wore blue
jeans I think many alternative rock musicans and bands adopted the Grunge look from the early to late 1990s. I went through my flannel T-shrit faze. But the point is Grunge and alternative rock
had many similarities in terms of fashion and were both a type of rock music
but that is where the similarities end in my opinion. When 1 was nine years old Grunge had pretty
much ended and reached it’s peek in terms of popularity but I still remember
those flannel T-shrits were still popular it must have influenced alternative
rock and this certainly influenced me in a postive way. For someone like me who felt alienated angry
and sad when I was growing up this type of rock was the perfect music for
me. Now there is all this happy music
and no alternative voices. Alt rock is
still awesome and now being an adult kind of I have more of an understanding and
have more of a respect and appreciation for this music. A song like queer by: Garbage I did not
understand but now since what was not acceptable 20 years ago is now acceptable
I understand it more. My favorite
Garbage song is #1 crush the music video for stupid girl was influenced by the
movie Sev7en and had the biggest impact on me.
One of the parts that I love about alternative rock from the 1990s is
the style of the drummer a drummer will just lay the drum beat out there. I have never heard in any other type of rock
or music for that matter where drum beat is just laid out there that is an
element to alternative rock that distinguishes alternative rock from all other
genres. Again I probably would have
never picked this up if I did not drum to music. I like a drum that is just laid out there by
the drummer it is very unique. It is
funny how fickle certain people can be when music becomes more accessible to
the mainstream how certain people feel their favorite musican or band somehow
sold out. I respect indviuals who are
true fans who stick to their passions.
When their passion is not the popular thing. In other words not riding the coattails of
something because it is popular. When
it is not popular they stop being fans.
Selling out to me is making an album the
record companies want a musican or band to make not the one they want to
make. Or selling out is during
something because a company backs up a brinks trunk full of money and you take
it and do whatever someone tells you to do.
Selling out is also a person who slaps their name on everything when
they had nothing to do with a project.
Or someone slaps their name and logo on everything and hides behind that
all the money they receive goes to charity.
I am all for helping people in need just give your own money away to a
charity do not advertise what you are doing it takes away the purpose of why
you should be helping. I do not
understand why when musicans and bands make records that become commercially
successful fans interpret that has selling out. Musicans and bands can never predict how
successful anything they release will be.
But even when a musican and band reaches a more mainstream audience that
is not selling out. I think selling out
would be trying to capitalize on whatever trend is going on at a certain
time. Those fail for a reason. I am not saying musicans and bands should
not try and reinvent themselves but do it because it is coming from
within. I am bothered by fans who feel
they have to act and behave a certain way and it is not coming from within. There are fans who attend concerts of a
metal band and think they have to scream and yell and dress in all black and
get tattoos that drives me nuts if it is not how fans feel. If
it is coming from within and that is how certain fans feel then that is
great! This
is an important life leason: It is a very narcissistic approach to life to have
the mindseat that when bad things occur in life that you deserve it basically
you are thinking that God has nothing better to do then have it out for
you. It is just dangerous bad things
happen to everyone and they do not deserve it.
It is all a part of the human condition that mindseat is no different
than The Westboro Baptist Church there is right and wrong and what they do is
wrong! It is a very self-destructive
and a narcissistic way of thinking. I
understand the yarning to understand why bad things happen it is just human
nature but thinking that way you are saying that God is not God. Bad situations occur and I know I do not handle situations has well as I
could looking back on many situations throughout my life I think I could have
done that better but there is nothing I can do but look back and try and go
from there and hope I am better for it.
No one knows how they will handle situations that occur in life. I try to not judge how my family or how anyone handles situations because I
just never know how I would handle that situation it is so easy to judge and
criticize how people handle situations but until you are in that person’s
mindseat you really should not judge. I
do not know why there are not more alternative voices like there were in the
1990s when I was growing up I know I was better for it. I think it was just a moment in time and
like everything in life it evolves and what my generation craved might not be
what the generation coming up is desiring.
Every generation is a blank canvas that gets to decide what they want on
it essentially. I have just realized or
accepted that it is extremely easy to make a mistake and look back on every
decision and just overanalyze everything looking back on the past because there
will always be a chance to look back on decisions that are made and try to
correct them but once a decision is made they usually are gone. So basically there are two choices you can
either overanalyze every big and small decision or you can move forward. Because most of the time there is not much
time to make a decision everything moves so quickly and then it is on to the
next thing. I am not saying that decisions should not be
made without consideration but you can get in your own way sometimes making
decisions. I do not understand why
society is conditioned to look down on indivuals who suffer from depression it
makes no sense! Democrats always propose gun control everytime there is a mass
shooting which is not identifying the problem if someone wants to hurt someone
they will find a way. Society needs to
do a much better job focusing on mental health and get rid of the stigma that
surrounds mental health until that happens everything else are just farts in
the wind. Why do democrats feel the
need to put out every fire? The only way
to fix a problem is to identity it and admit it is a problem. But unfortunaly every time a problem is
brought up there are people who will do all they can to avoid it. Here is a major example: when someone says
there is a problem that there are Islamic extremist someone will say not all Muslims
are terrorist that is true but when there is a large group of people who are
causing problems you must look at people as a group not as indviuals or they
say there is killing going on in the name of Christianity every single
day. It happens but this contury in
general sorry I do not buy it. The
first thing that needs to happen is get rid of this stigma that surrounds
mental health and also realize that
there is difference between Muslims who just want to practice their
faith and be left alone and Muslims extremist who want kill us for not being
Muslims. Until that destination is made
nothing that is tried will work. When
someone has cancer people feel sorry for them but when someone needs help and
is struggling people are condition to think that person is crazy it drives me
nuts when people say they never get depressed they are either perfect or lying
to themselves. It is truly sad that in the
United States Of America the greastest experiment in world history that there
is this stigma. There is nothing wrong
with admitting you are suffering from a problem and there are many people who
suffer from many different issues but until the stigma that surrounds mental
health is eliminated nothing will ever change.
Robin Beck released Underneath in 2013 which was produced by her husband
James Christan of the 1980s hard rock band House Of Lords. From what I have heard this is a pretty good
album Robin said she wanted to get back to the sound of her debut album Trouble
or nothing. It would help if I owned
some of this albums that I am talking.
Robin did a duet with Fiona Flanagan called this heart which is really
good it is on Fiona’s comeback album Unbroken.
Ya can’t fight love kind of a return to the sound of Trouble or nothing
which is a very heavy sound. Wreaking
ball not the Miley Cyrus song just a really excellent rocking and sexy sound. I swear the nights is an emotional beatuful
ballad Robin says this is a favorite of her’s
because she gets to sing like a woman.
Ain’t it just like love is a pretty good cover of a song by Fiona
Flanagan it is different Robin puts her own style to it. I guess Robin Beck’s first hit the very
first time was more of a hit in The United Kingdom but this song was used in a
Coca-Cola commercial in 1989 I am sure having a great power ballad like the
very first time sold a boatload of cokes.
Laura Brangian had a great ballad in the 1983 called close enough with
an amazing keyboard and Laura’s powerful voice is on full display. Close enough is on Laura’s second album
Brangian 2 from 1983. Christy Steele
did a cover of a song called I cry myself to sleep at night by Romeo’s Daughter.
This cover is on Magnet to Steele which was released in 1991. Just dropped in by: Kenny Rogers and The
First Edition this song is excellent song and puts me in a mellow mood and in
nirvana. Not only is this song used in
my favorite scene in The Big Lebowski in the dream sequence known as: Gutter
balls is the dream everyone should want to have it is just fantastic! That scene in The Big Lebowski was the very
first time I heard just dropped in. The
Book Of Eli starting Denzel Washington which is one of my favorite movies and
is very underated in my opinion. That
was the first time I had heard how can mend a broken heart the verision by Al
Green I do not know how that happened. Andrew
Breitbart gave this opinion in his book Righteous Indignation Excuse me while I
save the world that he is at war with the mainstream media because they portray
themselves as objective of reality when they are hacks who portray themselves
as objective observers of reality when they’re no such thing they’re partisan
“critical theory” hacks who think they can destroy everything America stands
for by standing on the sidelines and sniping at patriotic Americans with their
favorite slurs. They have nothing but
contempt for the American people. They
use all the wepons they have to intimidate every one of us and force us to shut
up and not speaking our minds. That is
a really great section from Righteous Indignation chapter 4 Hey, Old Media its
Not Your Business Model That Sucks, It’s You That Suck. That is really wonderful stuff and I just
wanted to put that in this project because it is in many instances is how I
believe about most media. Progressives
divide people and put them into speical interest groups which unfortunaly is unknown
some older people know what they are doing but younger people growing up do
not! That is the
saddest aspect. An example: I would put any website on the
right up against a website on the left any day in term of ideas but in terms of
its effect because we live in the age of feelings how a person feels about
something is more important than if it is true. Until this is reversed and rethought by
younger people growing up I do not really know what can be done. Howard Dean was being interviewed by Larry
King in 2004 Larry King asked Howard Dean this exact question what is the issue
with conservatives and the idea of kindness?
That was an actual question
this is what people are being taught and they think they are doing good. They
mean well many liberals mean well and that is the problem in my opinion because
it is not reality. There will never be a utopia it just will
never happen. Younger generations are for the most part have not even being
exposed to any counter arguments they are being told what to think not how to
think. I am going to make a guess that
many who are growing up now have never even been exposed to any conservative
thought none what so ever. It is not
just a differences in ideas just by that question that was asked by Larry King
gives me the impression that some progressives or liberals believe there is something
wrong with conservatives as human beings.
That sounds like a ridiculous question to me but it gives me some insight
how some indviuals view people with opposing points of view. Hillary Clinton was asked in a 2007 CNN debate
if she would define herself as liberal.
Here is her response: You know, it is a word that originally meant that
you were for freedom to achieve, big power and on behalf of the
individual. Unfortunately, in the last
30, 40 years it has been turned on it’s head and made to seem as though it is a
word that describes big government totally contrary to what it’s meaning in 19th
and early 20th century. I
prefer the word progressive which has a real American meaning going back to the
progressive era at the beginning of the 20th century. That truly scares me but I like that she was
honest about what she believed I just do not know how to explain to other
people that these ideas are truly dangerous for people who prefer limited
government and personal reponsibillity.
What is the saddest aspect about all of this I am not sure to explain
this in an easy understandable way.
When conservatives are called racist that should not back down because
when people are called racists that usually means you have defeated their ideas
and argument because they are down to their lowest common denominator. This was Saul Alinsky’s main argument in his
book Rules For Radicals. Andrew
Breitbart called this The Democrat Media Complex and that basically the left’s insults
are not real he compared the mainstream media to The Matrix. Which I do not think that The Democrat Media
Complex exists anymore because conservatives and progressives do the same
thing. Many progressive commentators use this criticism
against people they disagree that they are Joseph McCarty this is McCarthyism
they say. I am not even sure that
Joseph McCarty was wrong I think he was right about some of what he said. Hollywood says the blacklist was best thing
and the worst thing that ever happened in the United States Of America. Progressives or liberals whatever word you
want to use always restore to those kind of attacks. Most lifelong conservatives dismiss this but
it works and the reason the left uses this term they know it works! It is so easy to be on the left because many
know they can convince especially younger voters who have not been exposed to
different points of view to believe it.
Just by my own experience I was never exposed to any conservative
opinion until I was 21 years of age even though my parents have voted for Republicans
my whole life. It was not until I was
25 years old I started actually thinking about what I actually believe politically. I read Cowards What Politicians, Radicals
and the media Refuse to Say by: Glenn Beck.
Adam Carolla Dana Loesch and
Dennis Prager have also been very influential also by listening and using my
own God given common sense about what I actually believe. At this time I am not sure what I would
classify myself as because I have some liberal views but that is irrelevant to
me right now during the 2016 presidential election but it shows me that the Democratic Party has
moved futher to left. I know for sure this contury is in serious
trouble. I am truly worried about the
direction that this contury is going. I
am truly scared of the direction this country is heading. I
worry about my generation and the next generation etc. I
fear that they will not have the opportunities that generations previously
had. Most
young people have no idea what they believe politically they only go by what
they have been taught in schools but have not really thought about what they actually
believe which to me is most important.
This is how strange these word games are the term liberal has changed
its meaning it used to be if someone identified as a liberal that used to mean you
were for induvial rights and for freedom now it has a completely different
meaning. I like labels and there is a
reason to put labels on things. But the
point is it gets very confusing for me and for many indviuals growing up
because for generations indviuals have not been taught how to think critically
which I thought is one of the goals of places of higher learning. That is why younger generations are not
informed on current events and they are unable to think critically and to
process information to figure out what is true and what is not. Journalist in the past used their
objectivity has their greatest weapon.
But because of new media and because of the internet the business model for
success in media has evolved. Some
people see Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert has just comdians and poltical
satirists that should not to be taken seriously but it influences some young
people. There have been studies in poltical
science classes at universities where some students actually believed Stephen
Colbert was sincere in his beliefs on his Comdey Central show The Colbert Repot
even though he is playing a character and is a parody of a conservative cable
news host. For the most part I am going
to make a guess that younger people do not even see comdians such as: Jon
Stewart and Stephen Colbert has expressing a political opinion. Most of what they do is done satirically but
some of what Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart do is ideological and I have no
problem with that I just want people to be aware of it. Both
of them are superior at what they do because they use humor to get their
messages across. Which is nothing new I
think Will Rodgers was similar kind of what would be considered a humorist. I am not sure that is done anymore. Dana
Carvey is a comdiean who pokes fun at everybody he does a well-known impression
of George HW. Bush on Saturday Night Live but when he pokes fun of President
Obma that is off limits. Comdians
should be able to parody anyone and anything I am sick and tired of this
reactionary culture In Living Color was a great comedy show and was on
Fox. Fox was considered to be the rebel
network when it began. My point is poltical
correctness and humor of any kind do not match. In Living Color was controversial some of
the sketches were protested by speical interest groups which put pressure on the
network executives who worked at Fox. But Fox took a chance and Keenen Ivory Wayans
said that when you look at the content of the show and the poltical climate at
the time he tips his hat to Fox because they put themselves out there to. Keenen Ivory Wayans also knew there would be
censorship. I am not sure if the United
States has become more poltical correct or not I think it is probably more
poltical correct the reason for that this generation has been taught that their
feelings must protected at all times as a contury indivuals have a right to
parody and to use satire it is a health way to deal with current events that
are occurring it is therapeutic. It is
sad to me that this generation has instant access to imformation but know
less. As I said before there is poltical correctness
on the left and right and I do not like it from either side. I guess it depends on where you go but I
worry that even though generation me has more opportunites to get their
messages and opinions out there because of the internet but many that are going
to colleges are not able to think critically and to think for themselves. I am sure most of fans of Jon Stewart and
Stephen Colbert are not seeing it though an ideological point of view they are
probably for the most part viewing it from a humor stand point but it does
bother me when I hear that people take all of that seriously I hope that is not
true. I am not saying that comdians are
indoctrinating impressable minds I just want people to be informed on what they
are watching. I am not trying to sound
like a right wing wacko there is that word again just say that and your creditable is usually
questioned. I am just making the point that pop culture
matters! That is the most important
point that I will make about anything poltical. That is why President Obma and Hillary
Clinton go on late night comedy shows and new media platforms because they know
how important it is to impact the culture to reach younger voters. I do
not want the president to be my best friend I want to have the best person for
the job I do not care what I have in common with anyone in government. I just want them to protect the country and
to stop wars things citizens can’t do other than that indviuals should be responsible. In my opinion people focus way too much time
on wheather a politician is likeable and not on their ideas. It has been that way for a long time
especially for younger voters. Humor
and ridicule is often used to get opinions and ideas out there to the
masses. Because they cannot risk people
being board so ridicule is used all the time by the left because it can have an
effect on impressionable minds especially on the youth convince them that the
other side is sexist racists Islamopbic homophobic and intolerant this is according
to the tolerant left. The fact that those ideas are taught to never
be challenged and questioned by young people because they are immediate by
their teachers or professors that is one of the many reason The United States
Of America is in decline. Leftism is for many people on the left it is their
religion. It is the fastest growing
religion in the world. A perfect
example of this is the war on Christmas every year this contury is becoming
more secular every year. People are
getting tired of it and rightful so I am sick of it. The United States Of America is divided in
every possible way and turning our back on God is the biggest problem
because as this contury turns farther away from God there is no way The United
States Of America can be prosperous and a blessed nation. I
see and sense that The United States is becoming more politically correct and a
secular nation. That older Americans
and some young Americans are standing up and saying I do not like where this
contury is heading because they do not see an exit strategy. People are tired of the government not
listening to them and they are tired of being told they should feel guilty for
being white. I am the most frustrated
with guilty white liberals and politicians who make excuses for bad behavior. I
want to say Mary Christmas and not happy holiday season this to me is more
about the culture and not about politics.
Many people are seeing what is happening in the culture right now and
are using it for their poltical gain. I
know the desecration of the family is the main issue facing the black community
and that giving people something for nothing will end up hurting them. Higher taxes take away incentive to work. Higher taxes and debt that keeps going up
constanly is immoral People who work
hard and pay taxes need to stop making excuses and saying that indviuals who
are coming up are victims and the media who say that there is systemic racism
in United States Of America does nothing but insight and futher divide this
contury. E pluribus unum Out of many one which is the
opposite direction this contury is going.
The left is pitting people against each other it has to stop now! Or
United States Of America will never be a great nation again. I am not subevent to any audience there are
aspects in life I know to be true but many politicians and many in the media
are not interesting in solving problems they are more interesting in fighting
carbon emissions and not identifying evil.
Colleges and universities are now more concerned with trigger warnings
and microaggressions. This generation
has more opportunities to become motivated self-starters and entrepreneurs and
yet they are being taught that they have a right to not have their feelings
hurt. This is a result of the self-esteem
movement and participation trophies.
This is part of my generation and is personally one of the reasons I am
bothered by what I hear is happening to eduction. White privilege may have been an issue in
the 1960s but this contury has evolved since that time. Colleges and guility white liberals need to
stop with this narrative all that is being accomplished are children turning
against their parents which was the goal of the progressives from the very
beginning President Woodrow Willison said that the goal of a higher learning institution is to make a boy as much unlike
his father as possible. Woodrow Willison was the president of Princeton
University. The progressives from the
early 20th century started a 100 year plan and it has just continued
over time. Woodrow Willison is being taught in schools to
be this hero when all he was a power hungry academic he was not some faithful
servant. A few years back Al Gore was
telling 12 year olds that they know things about our world that their parents
do not know. Higher eduction used to be
a privilege now young people are being taught that it is a right. The Founding Fathers knew human beings were
not perfect that is why government was set up the way it is our contury was set up to be a
constitutional republic which means indviuals make decisions and suffer the
consequences for those decisions.
Progressive policies have been enacted for a long time all in the of
name of hope. For example: No child left behind and all of these head
start programs sound noble in theory but just throwing money at problems for
the most part does not do anyone any good.
Getting away from the traditional family structure is one of the main
issues facing this contury. Schools
will be fixed once family stay intact and put an emphases on eduction beyond on
there is really nothing that can be done.
I believe in the theory of Chicken Little Chicken Little is the theory
that the world only has so many resoures until they are gone. It is a huge miskate to assume that the
misuse of resoures will always be there.
This has nothing to do with climate change it has to do with knowing the
best places and the best ways to use our time and energy. Solar panels are not bad it just depends on
how they are used. This contury right
now is constanly beating itself up now
because President Obma is telling people they are all racist he says this in Dallas
Texas at a memorial that everyone has thoughts that are racist he talked about
Jim Crow Laws instead of reflecting on the police officers who were
murdered. I am sorry about the past and
slavery but constanly reminding and lecturing police and telling people how bad
this contury is does nothing but insight and make problems worse. What
are people supposed to think when Elizbeth Warren says the system is rigged
against them and that United State Of America is unjust? Even if people feel that way it does no one
any good. All that does is divide and make people that
are just starting out on their own feel that they are hopeless. I will never vote for a politician hoping
that person will fight for me or take care of me that is the family’s job! For the people who want smaller government
that means churches must provide and help those who are in need. The government can never take the place of
induvial compassion the first thing that must happen is getting rid of this
narrative that all police officers are racist and are killing young black men
for no reason just because they are black the mainstream media perpetuates this
because of what the President says that everyone has racist thoughts but here
is the issue with that notation even if everyone has these thoughts most do not
act on them. I do not doubt that there
is racism I just do not think this contury in general is a racist nation. Again I do not look at this as poltical I
look at these observations and opinions as pragmatic ideas. I
do not understand why this has to been seen though a poltical prism. The problem is the people who offer opinions
on how to solve problems are usually shouted down and are accused of playing
politics or racist. I think most people
will agree that both the democrats and republicans as a whole are in it for
themselves. Now I like and respect some
politicians not because of party affiliation but because of their ideas and
principles. The news media and academia
have destain for the average person because of where they live the places they
call flyover nations. It is funny how
because of so many outlets on the internet that people are being placed into
boxes to fill a voice for either the right or left. I kind of cherry pick things I like from
both sides. But when it comes to voting
you have to pick a party that does not mean I agree with the whole party. I think because people are in such a hurry
to label someone they will not take the time to figure out where they are on a
single issue or more. The mainstream
news media and poltical stagiest will always look down on the average person
and because of new media this has become even more so. I am sick and tired of this notion liberals
are compassionate and conservatives are the mean evil rich people. I think many liberals do not see themselves
as liberals they just think of conservatives as odd. There are good people on both sides but what
bothers me is the thinking that their something wrong with a person because of
their poltical beliefs. It works with
apathetic voters and that is what most politicians are counting. I am not someone who goes all in with a
poltical ideology. I guess all I can do
is vote for the best candidates most of which I usually have never heard of
locally. That is all any of us can
do. No politician or government
official is going to get rid of everyone’s problems and take care of them I
have listened to many town halls where I get the impression that voters especially
younger voters are hoping to be taken care of I say move to Europe! This
contury has really changed in 7 in a half years I think one of the reasons
there are so many outlets because of the internet and because of smartphones
and there is a generation who has been conditioned to think that they have a right not be offened by
anything. So because of the world we live in now
everything is supercharged because everyone is being placed into a poltical box
when that was not their intention. It
is sad that society has gotten to the point where we are teaching children
there is no difference between a boy and girl.
I know I sound like an old person and most of these issues I hope people
can figure out on their own. I think
when society started to go in a negative direction when progressives told
everyone stop judging I am a pretty liberal guy when it comes to personal
behavior but I know we should criticize bad ideas. Every election cycle that I can remember a
poltical stagiest ask this same question how can this poltical party appeal to
younger voters? I am sick of hearing
that question I am not saying that the younger vote should not matter my point is
trying to be cool and hip should not be your goal to get elected. The reason politicians go on late night talk
shows and new media platforms is to try and reach a new group of people but one
of things I hate is when people decide who they will vote for based on who they
would like to have a beer. That is
ridiculous that means emotion is more important than policy. As
I mentioned earlier I do not want the person I vote for to have anything in
common with me. I do not understand
voting for someone just because they are a member of a poltical party I can
understand liking certain politicians over others and sometimes elections come
down to picking between the lesser of two evils. When I think about how Tea Party started and
that the mainstream media labeled them racists by diffcult they had to disprove
they were racist. When all these
indivuals were average people who saw that the government spending was
unstainable it all had to do with government spending and taxes. The Tea Party was formed as a message to the
government that accumulating all of this debut is unstainable. It had nothing to do with the election of
the first black president and that is a lazy way of thinking. I guess because of cable news and the new
media people admit they have a bias which I think is heathy for debate. I hear commentators and journalists say that
this contury is a polarizing nation as if that is negative about this country
the new media is just open about it. The new media has changed so rapidly just
since the 2012 election cycle. I have
noticed that comedy has become more and more conservative and when I say that I
am not referring to politics I mean comedians are on egg shells because they
are scared of offending a speical interest group. Comdey has been a healthy way dealing with
society’s ills for a long time. The comdians I enjoy the most used humor but
made the audience think. But were not
affaird to take a chance. I am not really for the legislation of drugs
but the war on drugs has failed. Prohibition
was stupid. Putting a large number of
people in jail for smoking marijuana makes no sense to me. But I do not want smoking marijuana to be
encouraged but if a person gets sick and smoking marijuana helps them feel
better I am okay with it. I try to not
to think about that everything is a slippery slope but I think it should be a
personal choice. I am hoping that
people are informed enough to make the best choices for themselves
personally. My opinion is this I do not
know what is best for other people. I
like that indviuals can download music and podcasts. Media news and opinion are becoming more
digital and are on demand I think some of it is good but I think there is a
downside. The best thing about digital
media is that people can release a song without someone telling them what they
can and can not do. So that is one of
the benefits of digital media but newspapers and traditional print media I
would argue is not going away I think it is just in a different form. The media is everything if people want to
have an effect poltical they have to go after the culture just like the early
20th century progressives did.
Media is everything and progressives have taken advantage of that for a
long time though eduction. The
institutional left is where indviuals in their formative years are being taught
that socialism is good competition is evil and everyone is a winner just for
being born. Poltical correctness is
supposed to be kind because the millennials are the more sensitive generation
but all that is doing is suppressing language and ideas are not being
challenged. I have no problem with
anyone expressing an opinion in school I just think it will make their arugment
stronger if it is challenged. I do not
understand why commentators who are paid for their opinions are apologizing for
opinions they have. People can disagree
but being offened by anyone stating their opinions makes absolute no sense to
me. I am going to end this section on
this note I feel as if this is common sense but the direction the greatest
contury in world history is going I am not so sure people should not apologize
for any observation or opinions they have but because of poltical correctness
this problem is growing just because people have different opinions that does not
make them bad people. I see this more
on the left then I do on the right but on either side it is wrong because
people have a differing opinion that does not mean that there is something
wrong with them as human beings. Here
is an example: Larry King did an interview with Former Democrat Presidential Nominee Howard Dean he said the
difference between liberals and conservatives is we care wheather kids go to
bed hungry or not. I think that makes my point. It is really sad when people get to that
point where they think the other side is evil.
I do not understand how the media and academia have gotten to this point
a lot has changed in the last 7 in a
half years and it is really troubling the direction The United States Of
America is going. The media and
academia know what they are doing because they know if conservativism or common
sense ideas are explained properly and in an understandable way they know they
are screwed. The media does not control
the American people. I would like to solve
problems not from a right or left perspective just from a common sense
standpoint. As I say earlier I like
labels but I would like to just get back to common sense. The mainstream media targets anyone they see
as a threat the mainstream media will attack and go after indviuals personal
especially if they are perceived to be a conservative the mainstream media will
make caricatures of what the media wants whoever the threat apathetic voters
usually buy whatever the mainstream media’s
caricature of that induvial they know that entertainment media is more
powerful and important to reach voters then politics because of the media age
this contury now lives. I can
understand why people think that the media leans to the right because most
liberals especially in the mainstream media they do not see themselves as
liberals. Most entertainment I watch is
not conservative programing it is what some would call liberal
entertainment. Just like Fox News and
FX. I just wanted to put that out there
for those who are confused. Politics is
a lot like religion some people generalize about who people are when they say
what they believe. I only have so much
engery and I do not like to waste my time on non-sense. Especially with the mainstream media when
there is so much at stake this election
the mainstream just makes this election
entertainment and not about the differences in ideas and the differences
between the candidates. I guess people
have less and less attention spans so the media has to make everything a
confrontation. The mainstream media
cannot help itself. Every year I hear about a big tent party they say the
democrat party is a big tent party and that the republican party needs to expand
and be more of a big tent like the democrat party is no we should not the republican
party needs to explain why progressivism is not good for the contury. I do not know what the republican party’s
platform is that because the republican party has does everything they can to
brand conservatives in a negative light.
Adam Carolla said on The Adam and Drew Show that the left has turned the
word conservative into a pejorative. the republican party has done this to
themselves because they have not done anything to distinguished themselves between
the democrats and have become more like them.
I want the Republican Party to go
the way of the Wig party. Abraham
Lincoln did not want a third party. At
that time there were two poltical parties The Wigs and The Democrats and both
parties wanted slavery and years later The Wigs went away and The Republican
Party was born and Abraham Lincoln was elected the 16th President of
the United States Of America. Usually it seems to me for the most part that
indviuals do not agree with a President on every issue and I do not understand
why anyone would go all in with someone they half agree I do not. I think that is why I confuses people. Society is moving constanly and human beings
are not able to keep up with this technology but people are told they must
adapt to survie. I do not like the 24
hour news cycle because people are not able to process all of this imformation
and then it is on to the next story. It
takes me a long time to process and absorb imformation. Life is not just instant gratification. I know everyone is aware that they are going
to die but people will be more productive if they take everything one at a
time. Human beings will never be able
to move as fast with technology constanly changing and society constanly
changing. I do not want to add to the
discourse of the contury but at the same time I am not going to pretend that I
do not have a point of view. When
people are friends with you and then they do not like you once they know your
politics they were never your friends and are not worth your time. As I say earlier I look at my poltical
opinions as common sense and nothing else.
I want the induvial to be in control and have the power. I am going to make an observation and then
ask a question why when someone identifies anything other than liberal the
mainstream media thinks that person is polarizing. I think many just identify as liberal just
to be safe. I think some people may
actually be liberal and that is fine but I think some people have no idea. It just sounds cool to be a liberal. All I can do is Rock The Kasbah which is a
song by: The Clash. The only thing I
remember from the movie Quicksilver with Kevin Bacon Jami Gertz is casual thing
by Fiona Flanagan. The thing about
discussing politics even if you are talking with someone you agree usually
people will have different views on how to get there. It would make sense because of social media
that poltical correctness is over but all it does is reinforce how much
poltical correctness is out there. But
I still think the internet is the last free for all for uncensored freedom of
speech which is the best thing about the internet. As I said earlier but it is worth repeating
our generation has access to instant imformation but yet people know less about
current events. Other than that I hope
we can all get along. Is that not the progressive
way appealing to emotions? I really
would like the best for the contury and I hope for the sake of the contury I
hope we can unite and keep some kind of a republic if possible. The day after September 11th 2001
we were united it did not matter what our differences were Americans took care
of complete strangers. Now people are
so divided because of race and politics.
I can be friends with someone and not agree with them on anything. I do not care about any of your differences
has long as I know there are decent people.
Many young indivuals growing up are liberal only be diffcult not because
of any conviction. What was The Tea
Party about in 2009? In my mind it was
all about taxes because people were sick and tired of being criticized for
paying taxes and were sick of politicians and pundits saying it is time the
rich starting paying their fair share.
Even though most people were not born rich they worked extremely hard
and basically raising taxes is taxing achievement. When taxes are high people’s drive to
achieve and better their lives goes away.
People who pay taxes are not using loopholes they are deductions. I am sick of President Obma and the
progressives creating class warfare in a contury where there is no class
structure it is total bullshit when I think about it this is just common
sense! People have the drive to improve
their lives to make a better life for themselves and their families. Risking taxes takes away any kind of
inventive. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that
with passage of the affordable health care act it gives people more time to
focus on their passion. Here is the
problem I believe it is wrong for tax payers to pay for indivuals passion. If everyone did that the economy would start
to decline and eventually collapse. It would be fine if people did not complain
about people who are paying taxes about how they need to pay their fair share. I am for people pursuing their dreams if
they are able because human beings only have such a limited time on this earth
but I know people must be realistic in terms of making a living. Very few people get to live achieve their
dreams. I just do not think sending the
message that system is rigged against them is a good message and it is an
extremely dangerous way of thinking because it lowers their self-esteem and provides
an excuse for people to not try to improve themselves. One of the best aspects of The United
States Of America people are allowed to try and improve their lives the
government needs to get out of the way so indviuals can improve
themselves. I do not like preaching to
the choir but I feel like sometimes people do not listen to people they
disagree. Do not be an approval junkie
which is a book by Faith Sallie. If you try to gain the approval of even a
small segement of people you will end up making yourself crazy. I care what my family thinks and what God
thinks and maybe a couple of indviuals but for most part I can not worry about
it. Rachel Madow did an interview with
Jon Stewart and she said that there are a lot of people on right have made a
decision to only talk to people who agree with them. Jon Stewart’s opinion is that any criticism
of Fox is not that you disagree with them it is persecution. I am going to make a point I think that
makes some sense and the reason why is one of Andrew Breitbart’s rules in his book
Righteous Indignation Excuse Me While I Save The World one of his rules is do
not be affaird to go into enemy territory Andrew would go on Real Time With
Bill Mahar on HBO and Mahar would give that smirk that he does the point is
Andrew was trying to get his opinions out there to a different audience. Now I realize Bill Mahar is a comdiean but
he does express his opinions which he truly believes. But even Mahar as said that one thing that
makes him crazy about liberals is poltical correctness and to Bill Mahar credit
he express opinions that he knows some of his fans do not agree. The point that I am trying to make is conservative talk radio a
couple cable news hosts and a couple bloggers is not enough to get their
message out that there is a different viewpoint out there to exposé their world
view to people who do not know what conservatism is. It is why Jedeiah Bila left Fox News and
will be working for ABC and is joining The View this fall Tuesday September 6th 2016. When I first read that I thought that is
going to be just a bunch of women screaming at each other. But then I thought about that is one of
Andrew’s rules in Righteous Indignation and Andrew had a conversation with
Jedeiah about leaving Fox News because she was basically giving opinions that
most of Fox News viewers agree. I
remember Bill Oreilly said that the majority of people who watch The O’reilly
Factor are independent voters. Critics
of Fox said that it is conservative propaganda. There are opinion hosts but they admit it and
are upfront about it. That is a distinction
that I am cool. I am completely okay
with opinionate hosts giving their opinions just as long as they
admit it. CNN in my opinion does not admit this which I think is wrong and
makes all the difference. I have no problem with bias in the media I
just do not think it is honesty for so called journalists prentending or acting
objective when it is clearly not the case.
When the public option was being proposed to the American people an ad
from Barack Obma.com came out about how children need to sit down and it is
almost like a father child relationship expect the child is the parent and the
parent is the child because your friend’s parents are way too busy to vote and
the future generations needs health care.
That is evill but that is
exactly parallel to Woodrow Willison’s statement about how the goal of a higher
learning institute is to make a boy as unlike his father has possible. The left as always understood how important
it is impact the culture that they have convinced billionaires like George
Soros to help fund not only NPR but Media Matters For America etc. Progressives Hillary Clinton and Barack
Obma believe in the oppressor versus the oppressed the haves versus the have
nots. Basically the left sees anyone who
is not white as the oppressor any group that has been oppressed in the past or
is perceived to be a victim because of their race gender or sexual ordination. My politics can be summed up in two words
personal responsibillty. I am all for
people being able to grow a pot plant inside their own backyard. If they pay taxes. But
if people want to go and get really high and speed through a neighborhood then
the police should take action. I have
one more issue I want to discuss to end this section. I hate smoking but if someone wants to open
a restaurant that allows smoking they should be allowed to do so. If
they pay taxes it is their property and their freewill People
that do not want to be around smoking like me can take their business
elsewhere. I am all for all forms of profiling. I know that profiling is supposedly a bad word. But profiling is build into every human being. To deny that I would denying being human. Dogs do it with people etc. Because everytime the media turns around everything is about race. All they want to do is turn people against each other. That is all they want to accomplish. Profiling is one of the best tools we have to protect the country ourselves and our families. Let's keeping on rocking!
