I can say for certain that I am a mark for professional wrestling I can say for certain I do not want to know anything about the industry other than the programs or what happens in the ring. Now the term or calling someone who is on the internet a “mark is an insult the term mark came from carnivals and the more money a fan had that ticker holder or promoter would try to attract those fans to play their game or in this case a promoter would try to get any spectator to spin money to watch them in a stadium and coliseum. I could not disagree with Dave Meltzer anymore that “before the mentality of a lot of the talent that fans are suckers and we’ll do whatever it is to just take their money and run along”. I agree with Al Snow that promoters or those who live in that bubble should not just cater to that audience or the talent should not just work for that critical review that 5 star or 7-star review. I respect those talents who worked in places like Alabama Tennessee or Texas just for an opportunity because they have a passion for it. One last thing A lot the “smart fans” would probably tell me that I am just buying into or being fooled by being drawn into the product I can say I am proud to be. I can say in my opinion: that this whole feud between Jim Cornete Dave Melzer I am not sure why he is knocking Jim because he has always defended Dave when others knocked him and I listened to both points of view: the whole thing is over Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks because Dave anointed Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks and Dave Melzer takes that personally: as a wrestling expert.
