Well I may need to take something back I said about 1989 being a bad year for music Tom Petty and the Heart breakers released free fallin' from Tom album Blue Moon Fever. This may have been discovered years later. But it was a huge radio hit and it is extremely difficult to get a song played on local radio In other words there is a lot
of criteria that has to be covered. Then
love shack came out in 89 but I am not going to discuss that. But Kate Pierson
is still extremely hot. She looks
better as she has gotten older much like Susanna Hoffs or even Joan Jett. I need sort of a Paula Aboul
sort vibe to myself sort of dance vibe I could say the same thing about Belinda
Carlisle’s do you feel like I feel? From her album Live your life be free. That sort of vibe. I think we will all feel better hopefully
listening to Belinda’s music for those who just think of this has disposable pop music they are missing the
point. I think I have experienced
growth listening to Belinda’s music. Belinda’s album Real has more of a ballad type
of feel to it. For example: here comes
my baby. But it still contains a danceable vibe to
it. There is more of a romantic feel to
it. Meaning it is still good it is just
different. I am going to add I have listened
to different versions of lay down your arms I think the better versions of the
song are performed live. Lay down your
arms and here comes my baby are on Belinda’s same album Real. Or even tell me from Real as well from
Belinda very well done but different also extremely sexy at times. I was
listening to an interview with Dorothy about something happens when music is absorbed
it becomes a whole new thing when it is performed live it changes you really
get to know the music there is real genuine emotion where the band gets lost in
the process. Now Dorothy has more
substance to her voice. That has to be
so freeing. Finding your own voice
instead of trying to please everyone else.
No one can please everyone anyway.
That is what is so refreshing about Dorothy and her band. They are a rock band but Dorothy’s voice has
a blues vibe to her voice there is a mix to it which makes the music wonderful
and confusing at times because there is so much going. There is so much depth to it. I
really think Dorothy has created something of their own. I am sure many musicans and bands will try
to copy them and I do not think they will be successful that is how good this
band really is. I plan on coming back
to this. I need a little more time
with the music. If anyone is going to
blame Van Halen 3 on anyone please do not blame Gary Cherone Van Halen has
always been Eddie Van Halen’s band.
Much like Bon Jovi has always been Jon’s band. I could say about Dorothy that she and the
band are not trying to be what fans or record companies want the band to be
there are many different emotions tied to 28 days in the valley. For those of you who think you must knock on
a piece of wood to prevent bad stuff from happening have you ever considered
that bad stuff happens every one? It is
called life. If I knock on a piece of wood
bad stuff won’t happen to me is stupid.
Maybe bad things happened to you because you knocked on a piece of wood. My favorite song on Dorothy’s album 28 days
in valley has to be on my knees. I
really love the version I found on youtube.
It may be the same on the record.
Again there is a lot going on
with this song. I think it is what I will
come to expect from Dorothy which is not a criticism of the band it just makes
it difficult to break down. But I dig it
just love Dorothy’s voice on this track it is extremely heavy but alluring and
her voice is heavily seductive it drives me crazy but in a good way it feels
good. I cannot take it. You want me so much you cannot even see
straight that pretty much sums it up.
Dorothy owns it! When I say stay
hard stay heavy I mean it not because it sounds good. People can take that anyway they want but
for me it is positive stay hard stay heavy is not just a cool saying even though
it sounds cool. It is a way to deal
with this thing we call life to help us all feel better. Believe for me it is about positive energy
and feeding over of the positive energy.
Sometimes it has to do with getting rid of negative energy I do not need
any of that negative energy that negative energy has to go somewhere. This could be part of accepting your lower
parts. Those maybe the parts of your
personality that a person may not find acceptable or even understand but they
are always there. If you do not except
those lower parts you will be miserable for no reason in some cases. But for me my lower parts could be my
addiction or a need for music in my life.
That heavy frequency gives me such peace it is an indescribable
feeling. Much like being on drugs
without actually being on drugs. I get
that frequency watching and being a fan of Impact going after dark on pop or
House of hardcore HOH. Much like Tommy
Dreamer said on Twitch do not mistake my kindness for any kind of weakness
because I will not go down without a fight.
I support you Tommy and HOH I will go down with you if I have. Those lower parts could be a positive I do
not know. But they could be any emotion
that you are trying to suppress but they could work for you instead of against
you. Everyone’s lower parts will be different. The main aspect I have always felt about
rock’n roll but music in general it is magic when you figure out how the guitar
is going to sound like what the equipment will be I often wonder how these
musicians and bands get the guitar to make that sound? There is just so much that goes into what makes
this thing called rock’n roll that I am truly fascinated almost
mesmerized. I am not sure if that comes
from alienation but it is an aspect of my personality that I have learned to
accept or I will be miserable. For
example: the riff or beat to circle in the sand by: Belinda Carlisle is done
with a guitar. I figured it was done
with a keyboard. When I listen to the
song just a released track I would not think of the beat has a heavy riff but
it is which I only learned watching the song performed live. Circle in the sand is available on Belinda’s
album Heaven is a place on earth. This
kind of reminds me of keeper of the flame by: Fiona Flanagan there is a
keyboard and guitar thrown in there. Little Ms. Dangerous is back! That is a reference to an episode of Miami
Vice where Fiona plays the villainess in the episode in titled little Ms.
dangerous I am glad that MLW will debut
on the FITE app because more fans will get a chance to see it and enjoy it. Stay hard stay heavy could be a work ethic. Which I do not have I have to take a nap in
the middle of the day to feel better.
It kind of like Bruce Springsteen sings in dancing in the dark they say
you gotta stay hungry. There a lot of
wisdom from The Boss. Clarence Clemmons
of The E Street band the saxophone player was the best part of that band at
least for me. Clarence plays saxophone
on Lady Gaga’s edge of glory. No
offense to Springsteen but Clarence was the best part of that band. I have never been good at time management it
is something I have never thought about time is nothing but a concept man which
is not true. But I never really thought
about time management until I started reading Chris Hardwick’s book the Nerdist
way how to get to the next level of your life.
It something I am just starting hopefully I will be successful but I am
just taking small steps and hopefully I will become more comfortable with
it. I consider myself a geek or nerd. Maybe I could spin a bottle to figure this
out. Just to go back to Dorothy’s song
on my knees I cannot get enough of this track Dorothy kind of goes into this
wonderful extremely sexy monologue: where she asks do you even like me baby? How tremendous is that? She sings about take you Vegas and she’ll
make you famous! The reason I like this
so much because it is unexpected monologue in the track. It is so excellent I cannot get enough of
this track. Also you cannot start a
fire without a spark. There is some
more wisdom from The Boss. In other
words you need a fire lit under your ass.
I am trying to figure this out for a lot of reasons that I may not even
be aware of at this particular time the main thing I see now is all attempt by
me to better myself. At least I know
that is my end game so I enjoy more of my life. It could be small stuff like exercise more
which is a challenge for me and I do it and it keeps growing and getting
easier. My main problem I never think I
have done enough. I keep on living year
after year I am not sure how I make it that for sure. I am always thinking how did I make it
through that? Which is part of the
mystery I guess. It is part of God’s
grace not to be too spiritual here but to me that is true. Because let’s face it I do not take care of
myself like I should. I always admire people
who have a direction in their lives. If
it is keeping a calendar even though I think that would stress me out. I probably would not be able to get anything
done. But I am always trying. Little MS. Dangerous Fiona Flanagan’s demo
calling on you is such an energy based song it makes me sad at times because
Fiona puts so much emotion and feeling into this demo or deep track. Reminds me of James Christian’s House of
Lords. There was an interview where
Fiona discussed maybe joining House of Lords or Ratt. It just gives me that House of Lords vibe
she talked a lot about the original guitar player for Ratt Robbin Crosby very
cool from Little MS. Dangerous. James
Christan is so kool. I miss spelled
cool on purpose just cause I wanted to do it.
Back to Dorothy in her monologue: for on my knees she sings there are so
many signals I don’t understand baby? I like that has a question. The way she delivers that monologue is just
breath taking. Susanna Hoffs released
one of the prettiest song entitled darling one from her self-entitled album
Susanna Hoffs. I love her version of
Donovan’s classic catch the wind which is on a movie sound track. But there is so much beautiful emotion in
this credibility track as they said about 1980s hard rock this is just
extremely comforting and beautifully crafted.
I enjoy most even not all Susanna’s solo stuff. Her material with alternative rocker: Matthew
Sweet is excellent check it out because Matthew and Susanna’s both favorite era
of music is from the 1960s. But there
is probably a lot of deep tracks or material.
For example: different drum with Susanna and Matthew Sweet on
guitar. Which was originally written and recorded by
Linda Ronstadt and her band. Sometimes
I think I use word dig too much like I dig that. It is not purpose I just say it a lot. Tonight Impact Goes after Dark I think the
rematch between Tessa Blanchard and Lucha Royalty Taya Valkyrie challenges
Tessa for the Knockouts Championship this is going to be a return from Bound for
Glory in New York City. There is
something about Tessa I do not know what it is. But I think The Golden Announcer: Don Calais
is right when he says when Tessa winks it is as if she is winking at you! Lucha Royalty Taya Valkyrie seems to be just
sweet. But extremely powerful in the
ring her power may be unmatched. The thing
about Taya she is extremely quick. This
is going to be excellent rematch main event.
When Lucha Brothers Fenix and Pentagon JR. finally face the OGS that
going to be something to see. After
what happened last week in a match that I am going to call a classic The Impact
World Champion Johnny Impact defending against Fenix. After the match Fenix was attacked by The
OGS. Johnny Impact was taken out by
Killer Kross in the back. But these two
will face each other on November 8th in the final hour with the
title on the line. I have to add: Madonna’s
crazy for you from the movie soundtrack Vision Quest. This just a great 1980s ballad. There was this whole thing in the 1980s
where if a musican or a band did not do a ballad they were not really artists. I do not know maybe I am crazy but I really
enjoyed Impact after Dark more last week on Pop. I would think Pop would be a perfect channel
for Impact because what do many people call professional wrestling a soap opera
that happens to take place inside of a ring.
On Pop they feature soap operas or comedies like Gilmore Girls or the
Days of our lives. Impact’s youtube
channel does get a lot of views. They
recently reached 1.9million subscribers on youtube. So the company has seen a postive turning
point this year thanks to Scott D’amore and Don Calais. I do not know maybe I am in denial. But I love to see the positive. I sure am evolving so that is a
postive. I love that Eddie Edwards was
talking to his Singapore Cain he calls Kenny this dude is totally deranged and
I love it! In the movie Logan’s run it
is built as Logan’s Run starting Farrah Fawcett but she only in film for 5
seconds or something like that. For the record that a huge peeve of mine when the
movie gets you all excited with the promise of a big star and it is a
letdown. It is one of the reasons I am
not really a fan of many movies except a handful. “I am
the ultimate narcissist I want to enjoy my life.” Adam Carolla on compartmentalizing from The
Adam Carolla Show Monday October 29th 2018 with Dennis Miller. You see my dear friends Adam was talking
about not letting one thing effect your entire being. Which I unfortunately think that one thing is
becoming more of an issue it is awful. I am not dig it. I am
not sure what it is whether it politics religion do not let one thing ruin
your life or even your day. It is
becoming more of a problem it is not good.
I have to add Joan Osbourne’s album Relish to one of my favorite
albums. Joan I think is best known for
her #1 hit one of us. There is so much
soul in Joan’s voice that reminiscent of Motown that sort of vibe and feel to
it. When I think about great songs on
Relish one of those songs has to be crazy baby. The sad part or the most beautiful part of
the song it is relatable. One of the
best things about music it is a double edged sword meaning: there are both positives
negatives to it. Music can be both
healing and dangerous usually at the same time. Next up St. Teresa this is a beatuful song
it is an extremely sad song. If you can
find it watch Joan Osbourne’s VH1’s Storytellers. The main thing that I get from listening to
crazy baby is about not putting out your own light. Which is a very diffcult thing to figure out
but it is extremely relatable. Which
makes the song sad and uplifting at the same time. I
like the relationship that Tommy Dreamer and HOH has with Twitch. I think Tommy was a little ahead of the game
with his relationship with Twitch because Impact followed at the beginning of
the year. This to me gave more respect
for Tommy he was offered a lot of money by the WWE to close House of hardcore I
think the main reason Tommy did not accept the offer I think because he
understands that if places such as: HOH go away the WWE will not have talent to
develop that is just the truth. Maybe the powers that be who work for the WWE
do not understand that or worse they do not care. I hope they are only naïve. But what I think the WWE should understand
there are no companies nor territories that are competition or even a threat to
them. They could only be potential breeding
grounds for the WWE to develop talent. The
best thing about the malochio or the iconic devil horns you can either ward off
the evil eye or you can give the evil eye both of those things apply. Gene Simmons claimed he invented the horns
but according to Gene Kiss invented rock’n roll in the prehistoric age. But there is only one thing I agree with
Gene that it is only enough money when you are dead that is when it is
enough. One more song from Joan
Osbourne’s tremendous album Relish let get naked this just has a great vibe to
it is wonderful. It is a wonderful
album but those are some of my favorites.
There is a lot of funk in Joan’s voice.
Before Elvira was Mistresses of the Dark she
was Cassandra Peterson who was a rock groupie she went on a date with Elvis
Presley and Elvis gave her the best advice she ever received and that was get
out of Vegas or you will be oldest girl in Vegas. She eventually became Elvira and the rest is
history. In an interview with Elvira
she said she is not a fan of modern horor movies because of the gore but she is
a fan of the Walking Dead. I respect
that Tommy Dreamer wants to use wrestling for good which could be a problem for
some companies and people he and The Monster Abyss make me proud to be a fan of
professional wrestling. The WWE will
say that this is just business well guess what this is Tommy Dreamer’s business. For the record I have no problem with WWE
fans I just have chosen not to support them anymore. But I will always support Tommy and
HOH. I mean this metaphorically how
many times does Tommy have to get stabbed in back before a fan such as: myself
say no more I cannot support this in good conscience anymore. Again I am not knocking any WWE fan they
seem to be very sensitive when other fans do not go in lock step with NXT or
the WWE but that is the beauty of being a fan of the genre. Merdeith Brooks produced Jennifer Love
Hewitt’s album bare naked. Which is
a great album. What is Caribou Coffee
it sounds terrible give some of that Coffee and a chocolate donunt and
I’ll will be set. A song that I
actually do like from The Boss Bruce Springsteen and his E Street band has to
be the streets of Philadelphia from movie soundtrack Philadelphia with Denzel
Washington. The reason this particular
song catches my ear is genuine emotion the sadness of it. It is an extremely depressing and sad
track. Jimmy Page would not appear on
VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show simply because the word “metal was in
tittle. The program was hosted by:
Eddie Trunk Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson.
Here is the thing about Led Zepplin I have never considered Led Zepplin a
heavy metal band they are a classic hard rock band but they laid the ground
work for what would become heavy metal.
I would put Deep Purple Black Sabbath in that exact same category. The main thing about doing the wrong thing
at least do not lie to yourself about it.
That to me is the worst part about it.
I am not sure if I am good at compartmentalizing it sounds like a simple
task but when I break it down it is not so simple. Basically compartmentalizing is not letting
one thing or even two things to define you or letting those two things effect
your whole day your life. It could be
politics anything I am not sure if this is a result of social media but I know
it has not helped. So it is a diffcult
task and problay takes a lot internalizing which is something more and more
people are not willing to do. But I am
sure being able to compartmentalize will help indviuals have happier
lives. I sometimes think happiness and
being happy is impossible but that does not mean people should not try because
of the social consequences associated with it.
That could be not denying yourself of any pleasure. I would not advice it any pleasure it
depends on what your pleasures are. If
House of Hardcore/HOH comes to my town I am defiantly going. The whole issue I have I heard from so many
fans who say it is better to watch on TV.
So those are some of those good pleasures that I am referring. But I am loving the relationship between
Twitch and House of hardcore. I have
realized that I feel as if I am doing my best but I always think that my best
is not good enough. That may sound
harsh but maybe that is what keeps me motivated because if I get complacent and
what happens I will start to atrophy and it happens pretty quickly if you do
not get a handle on it. This Thursday
on Final Hour on Pop the match I am most looking forward is between Eddie
Edwards and Money Moose the reason Eddie is competly deranged and
unpredictable. “Chicks with guitars on
my God they are everywhere”. Joan
Osbourne. To me there is nothing more
attractive than a chick with a guitar.
That is what made the Lilith Fair so great. There is no equivalent to that festival
today. I really enjoy Halestorm’s
verision of the Heart’s 1980s song all I wanna do is make love to you. I never really cared for this song until I
heard Halestorm’s version of it. I
realized why I love this particular verision and that is Lizzy’s vocals are
filled with a heaviness love passion and genuine true emotion which is not hard
to dig in to. Halestorm will be classic
rock soon! I either want to be in a
band or work for a professional wrestling promotion maybe one of those two
dreams will come to fruition. So it
easy to have goals but it is harder to break them down. There are always endeavors that I at least
want to try and not really focus on wheather I will be successful or not. For that reason I like the title of Chris
Jericho’s book No is a four word. So I
am never really focused on success sometimes the indivuals that are the most
successful are the most miserable I hope there could be that happy medium
something in the middle. I really wish
Dennis DeYoung could be back in Styx at some point. Dennis DeYoung was of Styx the front man who
performed most of the ballad sort of material for Styx. Even though rocking to paradise is a pretty
heavy song in terms of tempo. Tommy
Shaw was the front man who held more of heavier rock sot of material. That to me is what made their partnership
work. But I guess there will always be
certain members that fans wish they should be.
For example: I did not think Jon Bon Jovi would be successful without
Ritchie Sambora but Jon continues to be a stadium act. Oh I wanna play street games with you.
