virtue singaling

I am not sure what is happening in this country it seems to me that when I was growing up we understood humor what jokes were.   Also we were not so supercharged with politics.   In other words society understood context.   There was not this knee jerk reaction to get rid of those that the majority did not like but they moved on with their lives.   I am just not sure what is happening but it is more then a little scary it is demoralizing to society.   This is not a recipe for people to pursue happiness I think being happy or the act of being happy is beneficial not only to you but the others around you but poltical correctness and virtue signaling is making that impossible.   I am not sure if people just have more time on their hands or they are much more sensitivity but it will create and has created a lot of collateral damage.   The left will always eat their own because leftism is more of a religion then an ideology.   That side will never be satisfied.   It will just continue until corporations and most importantly people do not apologize and give social media what they want.   The problem is the fear that if these businesses do not cave they will have their livelihoods destroyed.   But as I have tried to explain the left has this impossible standard that they themselves can not adhere.   But that does not matter the left does not have to follow their impossible  guidelines just everyone else.   I am not going to pretend that virtue signaling does not exists on the right it does and it should not be tolerated on either side that is why I am cynical.   I think humor is extremely important for our survival.   I do not think this will happen especially at this point but society has to rediscover it’s sense of humor.
