Tour

Rock musicans have to tour because that is the only way for them to promote what they are doing currently because the hardcore fans will know about musicans and bands that they love but the general public is unaware of it.   Because it used to be back in the day I could switch on VH1 and the new music from a new artist would  be there.   Local radio really was never really up to speed on this.   I am not suggesting that they were not but I missed it.   Because I read so many comments on Youtube why is this musican or band not more popular?   It really has nothing to do with the quality of the music usually it is a case of fans not be aware of it.   It was much easier for me to keep up with popular music and music I love when I was growing up because VH1 was always promoting it.   Even when Napster begin VH1 was still playing and promoting this music.   So the only option I believe musicans and bands have of getting their music out there is by touring.   Youtube is a great tool but it is just that a tool.   I have heard Youtube makes millions and thousands of dollars from artists?   I wonder where that money is going?   I use Youtube all the time that is the only way for me to keep up and know about music I love that and signing  up for newsletters from indviual musicans and bands but what I want to stress much of this does not have anything to do with wheather any of this music is good or bad it has to do with knowing about it then promoting it.
